Roll Deep Bio Members: Philly Mdluli AKA Phil Soul DJ, Engineer and Producer Trevor Lebogang Letswalo DJ, Engineer and Producer Both born in Johannesburg, TriGo and Phil Soul are the talent worthy to keep any eye on. Their rhythmic ability seems to be an innate and have given birth to what we know as Roll Deep. Our passion for the music world led up to us joining forces and creating the most influential duo in the dance scene. Through our remixing, engineering, composition and production capabilities, Roll Deep describes their style of music as Deep House vibe that is infused with some enchanting soul and some techno rhythms. Both TriGo & Phil Soul (Roll Deep) self taught them selves how to produce music and the progress the have made ever since has been tremendously impressive. Our music production is underlined with deep and soulful tonalities, loaded with bewildering facets, Jimpster, Troydon, Freerange, Kerri Chandler, Onsulade, Henrik Schwartz, Glen Underground just to name a few have been our biggest inspiration but our production goes from one musical frontier to another. Nu jazz, Afro Beats, House, Tech, Minimal, Soul are what our records sound like. A big turning point for us was when we got a deal with a record company from Greece called Soulove Recordings to release our first E.P called Omo Na Wa O! Ft. Dante. Roll Deep’s future is pointed with promising expectations. At a young age, our production has already been supported by the top players of the house scene, DJ’s such as George EnergySoul Athanasiadis, ChrisIDH, Brazilian Soul Crew, Vinny Da Vinci, Fabrizio Ortella, Djinji Brown, Mzee, Mushroom Boyz to name just a few. Additionally, our work on new productions as Roll Deep and with other artists; some of our upcoming projects are going to be soon released on Soulove Recordings. But for now, our first E.P called Omo Na Wa O! Ft. Dante is going to take the dance scene by storm.
